MFA 2014 EXHIBITION INSTALLATION

These are two photos from my MFA Graduate Exhibition at the Lehman Gallery, May 2014. The ten work installation that the viewer is in front of is my contribution to the show. As you can see the paintings are very tiny, most of them have been shown on this blog individually as they were completed. There are alot more that were also part of the project, but for the final installation we decided to edit down to ten. They are all 5"x7" , oil on boards, and framed in Matte black floater frames. Hanging the installation straight took hours, and would never have been achieved without the help of my friend Shang-Ping Liu, also an MFA Graduate in the exhibition.

I continue working with golf and art history collages to design landscape paintings for my M.F.A. thesis project.

The Abstracted Landscape

These paintings feature small bits of the landscape, blown up to create an abstract composition. I particularly love the colors.
