Waking up to yet another hot, steamy, summer work morning today, I thought a cool, calm landscape would refresh the spirit. The long, smooth, brush strokes are soothing and the atmospheric colors reminiscent of the time just after dawn when the cool mist is rising and and a feeling of quietude blankets the land. Greens, Blues, and Greys reinforce this effect.
